On June 30, 1953, the first Corvette rolled out from the company’s plant in Flint, Michigan. Now, the company decided to mark the 60th anniversary of the Corvette with the introduction of the 2014 Corvette Stingray Premiere Edition. The model will also mark the production launch of the seventh-generation Corvette on June 28, 2013 in Bowling Green, Kentucky.
The new Corvette Stingray Premiere Edition is limited to only 500 units and is based on the top-of-the-line 3LT trim level. The new limited edition will feature Laguna Blue Tintcoat paint combined with a Brownstone suede interior.
To further identify the model, Chevrolet equipped it with a “stinger” hood stripe, “Stingray” logos on the door-sill plates and wheel caps. It will also come with the Z51 Performance Package with Magnetic Selective Ride Control, a carbon-fiber roof and a variable-tuned performance exhaust system.
Also, each unit will be offered with a custom Corvette branded luggage from Thule. Chevrolet has yet to unveil the pricing on this limited model.
